I'm looking to buy this removable storage device. There a plenty on the market all at different prices according to how much information they hold. The prices range from ?7.99 for a 1Gb to ?79.99 for a 8Gb.
Here comes the techie question. Can you download and store .wmv files?
USB Flash Drives.
Re: USB Flash Drives.

Re: USB Flash Drives.
Firstly, if you want maximum storage then a usb/firewire external hard drive will hold 20 times more stuff than an 8gb flash drive and for about ?20 cheaper.
Western Digital do 160gb external drives (?62) and they're about as big as a mobile phone. Check it out! Just plug it in and you're away. No need for any installation or formatting, so they work like a flash drive in that sense (I'm guessing they're a big fat32 partition).
If you wanna go the flash route then don't get a 1gb drive. What with hi-def around the corner, and file sizes getting bigger all the time, then I'd get 4gb at least. You can back up your bookmarks, adress book, e-mails, 100's of music albums and a few photo's & avi/wmv movies on a 4-8gb drive.
Dabs do an 8gb drive for ?23 and the 4gb versions are about ?13 I think. Here's the 8gb version.
Yeah, they carry avi/wmv/flv files etc.

Re: USB Flash Drives.
I'm perusing the latest Argos catalogue and I notice that Bushbi do a 8Gb flash drive pen/stick for ?39.99. Whereas a Sandisk Cruzer offer their 8Gb at ?69.99 and Maxell do theirs for ?79.99.
I notice that Philips are selling a 3.5in external 500Gb hard drive for ?74.99. They also have one that holds 1Tb which costs ?179.99.
