the death penalty
Has anyone seen the news about the baby who was murdered by her own father at 54 days old and he sexually abused her as well, can anybody give me a good reason why this scum shouldn't be put to death.

Re: the death penalty
It's not so much defending the rights of the murderer, but bestowing the 'right to kill' on the executioner. 'The State' killing it's own citizens is an uncomfortable prospect.

This person ceased to have the right to be treated an a normal human the day the baby died.
Re: the death penalty
Because if we put him to death, we would be as bad as him. And we aren't.
Not as uncomfortable as when the 'citizen' sexually molests, cause fractures and bleeding to the brain of a 7 week old kid in my opinion.
But like Wazza alluded to yesterday: He was probably mentally ill. No sane person kills unless it is in a moment of pure rage, or self defence. If you execute murderers, what does that say about the people who execute them in supposed sanity?
Sometimes, killing is acceptable in certain situations, but a man that is already locked up, unable to harm others........what right have you, or anyone else, to kill just because he did?
Do you get the point?
I can accept a mentally ill person killing, but not a sane person. Why? Because if supposed sane people can kill so easily, what does that say about a sane society?
