I am near Birmingham- and I agree with you! I thought I was going mad. Scary- my room shook- door and wardrobe.

A friend emailed from Derby and they had the same thing- and feeling.

The BBC have just flashed it on News 24.

Sky news are reporting it was felt in leicestershire, east anglia, bedfordshire.

im at the top on nottinghamshire, just under south yorks. oooooh very scary! and my doggys were scared

I'd imagine they were---dogs are bad enough in thunder storms.

I've just read elsewhere that it was 4.7 on the Richter scale and centred on Lincoln.
