AC Milan 0 - 2 Arsenal
It has to be said that even though Milan are looking old, out of form, etc etc that was one mighty performance from the gooners ! To draw stuff !

Re: AC Milan 0 - 2 Arsenal
Pretty remarkable(1st english side to beat them at home)although given AC Milans recent form in seriea not unexpected
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hailed the performance of his young side, after they dumped holders AC Milan out to reach the Champions League quarter-finals tonight.
It was a near-perfect, battling display from the Gunners - who closed the Italians down at every chance and capped a magnificent effort when Cesc Fabregas thundered in a 25-yard effort with just six minutes left at the San Siro.
A second from Emmanuel Adebayor in stoppage time sealed a famous win - the first time an English team have beaten Milan at this ground.
The preview sounds like they came to play
Arsenal scored twice in the last ten minutes as they beat AC Milan 2-0 in the San Siro to clinch a spot in the Champions League last eight.
Arsenal needed an away goal after drawing 0-0 in the first leg two weeks ago but it looked as though the tie was heading to extra-time after they squandered a number of chances.
However Cesc Fabregas scored with a speculative 30-yard effort six minutes from time and Emmanuel Adebayor added a stoppage-time second as the Gunners became the first ever English side to beat Milan at the San Siro.
Arsene Wenger opted to deploy Adebayor as a lone striker but it was evident from the outset that they wanted to attack the Italians, with Alexander Hleb crashing a drive just over in the seventh minute.
It needed a goal-line clearance from Fabregas to keep out Paulo Maldini's flick header soon after but Arsenal continued to look dangerous and again went close in the 13th minute through Abou Diaby's 20-yard effort.
Pato, Filippo Inzaghi and Kaka had chances for Milan but Adebayor forced Zeljko Kalac into a good save in the 27th minute before the Gunners saw a decent penalty appeal turned down following Alessandro Nesta's trip on Hleb.
Fabregas went closest to breaking the deadlock before the interval with a swerving 18-yard effort that struck the crossbar but despite dominating the half, Wenger's side went into the break still level.
Philippe Senderos and Emmanuel Eboue missed further chances for Arsenal at the start of the second half but Manuel Almunia had to be alert to turn away Andrea Pirlo's 25-yard free-kick soon after.
Kaka also drilled a shot just wide for Milan just before the hour mark but the visitors continued to search for a goal and they were finally rewarded six minutes from time.
Fabregas picked up the ball in a seemingly harmless position 40 yards from goal but the young Spaniard knocked the ball inside two players before firing a speculative 30-yard effort into the bottom corner that Zeljko Kalac should have done better with.
And Adebayor tapped in a cross from substitute Theo Walcott in injury time to send the Gunners' travelling support into raptures

Great result for the Arse and - by all accounts - a performance to match, though I didn't see it.
Given that the corrupt Italian bastards shouldn't have been in the CL at all last season by rights, it was good to see them dumped out this season at the first knockout stage and a bit of late justice served.
That an "English" side (if you can call the Arse "English" these days) did it was the icing on the cake.

All Hail the true GODS of North London. The pride of England.
I am sitting up hear high on my cloud fuelled by last nights alcohol, and looking down on mere mortals.
Come one come all see me puff my chest up for the rest of the week.
Well done my beauties at last something to shout about.
I am aware come the weekend we'll probably get stuffed good and proper for this. So I am taking a moment in the sun.

As a Spud, I have to say that it was an awesome performance of creative football from the side that we beat 5-1. I haven't seen them play better all season.
Fabregas, on form, is simply world-class. I just hope he goes to Barca.

I'm not going to big up the Goons too much but well done to them. They certainly deserved to win against an ageing, one dimensional Milan side who will surely go into transition for a while now.But that's taking nothing away from Arsenal.
Kaka to Chelsea in the summer anyone? !grin!
I'm off to The Bridge soon to see if my mob can join Arsenal and Yahnited in the quarter finals.Would be great for the English game if all four teams qualified........that's if you regard Arsenal as an 'English' team !whistle! !laugh!.
Should be a walkover for us this evening against the Greeks, but you never know with Chelsea !happy!.
