Little girl missing from Dewsbury

Post by mrmcfister »

Was just wandering why this toddlers disappearance was not more of a story. Then heard on the radio that her mother had six other kids by five other dads all of whom were on the dole and she lived on benefits.Sad but I think this would have got more coverage if her parents had been more ordinary. Not the toddlers fault.

GPWM, mcfister.

Compare and contrast to the McCann case....the care the Press take to concentrate on the search for the child depends on what the parents are like and how photogenic they are. Sickening.

Crossed my mind the other day. It has taken nearly two weeks for
the national press to get properly involved

Also haven't seen any massive fund being set up or ex tv newsman being
a spokesman for the parents

Many on here did wonder what would have happened last May if a child
from a 'common person' had gone missing. Think we now have the answer

Columnist in the Scottish Sun is apparently going to put the blame on the fact that Shannon isn't photogenic enough. For what it's worth, I think mrmcfister is calling it right.

Well on a side note I would imagine that kids go missing every other day and don't get ANY media attention. This is not a big story because the parents haven't made themselves media whores 24/7 unlike some and the story is just not sensational enough I guess. Though from what I have seen it has been in every news bulletin going for the last 10 days or so - is that not enough??
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

mrmcfister is bang on.

If the Mcann's were a dysfunctional family the media would of given them pelters for leaving little Maddy on her own. It's a case of 'if the face fits',when the most important factor should be the safety of the child. The fact that the Mcann's are media whores and attention seeking cunts also plays a part ie:getting the public to feel sorry for you, even though you know they were wrong to leave Maddy alone while they wined and dined at Pedro's Bistro or whatever you call it.

Let's just hope that little Shannon has come to no harm and is found soon.As for Maddy.........you can forget it !sad!
