Grand Slam Sunday-Part 2

Post by Mike_CFC »

Sky Sports are really beefing this up now.Whether it's a title deciding day remains to be seen, but a few twists and turns are definetley on course for tomorrow.

To fans like myself,it's just another football match, but a great day for the neutrals and the Pub Landlords i guess.

I'm at Stamford Bridge tomorrow to watch the Chels play Arsenal in what should be a good game.Gall-arse is definetley in for a hostile reception from the Chelsea faithful in The Shed and Matthew Harding stands as he returns to the Bridge for the first time since his acrimonious transfer across London.

The other game sees Man United take on Liverpool which will be an equally intriguing match in which Liverpool could really up the ante in this already interesting title race.I'm calling tomorrow like this.

Man United 1 Liverpool 1
Chelsea 2 Arsenal 1

I still think United will retain the title, with Chelsea a very close second, though i'm sure Marino and other Gooners and neutrals won't agree !happy!

I am looking forward to this Easter treat as well. I posted a few weeks back it was Arsenals title, but my oh my how they have dropped points! Methinks they want Champions League Cup all said and done!
I think Mike has predicted what appears to be a foregone set of results, and as much as I detest Liverpool FC, would love it if they took 3 points from the Mancs, although if I was a betting man, would have Fergies boys to take all 3 themselves!
Oh and a Chelsea win for me as well.

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

You'll get decent odds on a joint bet for Liverpool-Chelsea wins.Despite our throwaway performance at Rottenham on Wednesday,i think we're more comfortable at home and will give Arsenal a tough time.

Ashley Cole should really not be playing in this game,i prefer Bridgey playing tbh.Bridge is more diciplined and attacking than 'Mr Attitude' Cashley Cole.

I can't think of one Chelsea fan that likes him(Ashley Cole),even though he scored at the Boleyn Caravan Park a few weeks ago.The sooner he fucks off to Madrid, the better.

Theres only one Cole who deserves his shirt, and thats Joe, and if I were Kenyon, I'd be doing anything in my brief to retain his services long term.

I think if Man Utd win and Chelsea/Arsenal draw, I think it's just about over.

I do think that Chelsea will pick up more points than Arsenal, between now and the end of the season. Arsenal's best chance of the Premiership is being knocked out of Europe.

The Manc Shite v Liverpool will be a predictable and comfortable home win unfortunately as in the last 7 Leg games against the scum we haven't even scored a solitary goal.

We can't beat them at Anfield so I can't see us getting anything at the Theatre of Shite.

The other one is harder to call. I can't see Arsenal winning it but I can't make up my mind if it will be a draw or single goal victory to the blue rabble.

Manc Shite 2 - Liverpool 0.

Blue Rabble 1 - Arsenal 0.

Man United to win the title at a canter from here on in ... too strong a squad who don't look like a bunch of cry baby mercenaries so that has got to count for something. Can see Chelsea maybe sneaking second which won't be acceptable for most Chelsea "fans" ... how times have changed eh??
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Good game yesterday, the lads showed great character to come back from 1-0 down, despite Wenger's typical whinge on how we used long ball tactics to win the game.So fucking what?!!!!!.

Gallas got a brillliant reception as promised by us Chelsea faithful !laugh! and the Gooners went home with their tails between their legs.

I think Chelsea will finish second now.Yahnited's title to lose imo. They still have to visit the Bridge next month, but i reckon it's too little, too late.

Liverpool fell apart against the Mancs, thanks to Mascherano's sending off, which was deserved. Some may say the ref made an example of him(Mascherano) after the Cashley Cole incident the other night, but he should of kept his mouth shut and got on with it,despite Torres being unfairly booked.Liverpool needed points in that game, but surely that's their challenge perished for another season.

Where as nobody can defend Mascherano's antics after he was sent off, the second yellow for alleged dissent was an absolute joke, as was the yellow card for Torres.

If Steve Bennett is going to book people for dissent then why didn't he book Gerrard in the 2nd half when he gave a non existent free kick against him and Gerrard went back at the ref, pointed his finger at him wildly and and clearly called him "a fucking prick".

Now that's dissent.

In all probability Liverpool would have lost yesterdays game without Bennett's intervention as Jose Reina did flap at 2 basic crosses which would have lost the game in most normal circumstances anyway.

However it is bloody hard to go to Old Trafford and get a result when it's 11 versus 11. It's nigh on bloody impossible when it's 12 versus 10.
