What a brass neck those Northern Bastards had hoping to get their 15 points back!!
At least the FA saw sense and decided the original penalty was sufficient, but credit to Leeds, they are in the play offs through hard work and graft!!

Well, after what happened with West Ham, I think I'd have tried my luck!

Yep, 10 points for going into administration, 15 points for not obeying the rules for coming out of it.
You shouldn't actually be in the league at all, so should be glad of the position you are in today.
(I don't mean this to sound nasty and confrontational, just in case thats the way it reads)

Re: Leeds - Cheeky bastards
The idea of docking points from a team for maladministration just proves to me how far from a real sport football has moved.
Why the hell the fans and the players should be penalised, let alone a whole league table be skewed, because of business errors by the owners and the so called business men they put in charge, beats me.
Its hard enough for players, backroom staff and fans when a team goes broke but to punish them for the errors of people who hardly know one end of a pitch from the other is just crazy.
In such cases those who committed the errors should be penalised by either being disbarred from the game for a period or by massive, personal, fines - the sort they impose on players and managers who criticise, often with great justification, the bad refereeing and inconsistent application of the rules by officialdom.

Its because the maladminstration you talk about would have given the club an advantage. Why should other clubs suffer because the perversity of administration in football is often advantageous to the club. Thats why the 10 point deduction was introduced, to prevent another Leicester City fiasco.

If a company goes bust and ceases trading then they no longer exist as an entity and shouldn't continue playing.
If, however, they are allowed to continue it seems perverse to me to cripple their chances of winning promotion and remove from their players and their paying fans something to aim for and support and operate a points deduction which could reduce attendances at matches - the key way of generating income.
The product of a football club is the results it gets. A company making products, seeking to work its way out of administration, doesn't expect to see itself held back by its competition being given a very specific and anti- competitive advantage directed solely against it - indeed the administrators are charged to do their level best to get the most out of the company to pay off creditors.
I've never had much time for Leeds as a club but this is most unfair on the players and the fans - both who have been loyal, the players especially working hard.
If Bates and the previous board got it wrong they can afford to pay up.
