At a time when the Post Office in the UK is (supposedly) in a financial crisis and countless post offices up and down the land are under threat of closure (naturally accompanied by job losses and further local community deterioration), comes this revelation:
Yet another case of the rich getting richer while ordinary folk are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet right across the board.
This fucking "I'm alright, Jack" mentality of boardroom fatcats - awarding themselves and each other telephone number salaries and bonus packages as they cock a snook at hard-working ordinary folk (not to mention their own workforces) - seems to get worse by the year.
Yes, Communism was a failed doctrine - but when you read about this kind of out-and-out piss-taking, you can at least begin to see where Marx and Lenin were coming from.

Just like Communism, today's Capitalist society is being spoilt by greed and nasty people. Fighting for that extra ?500,000 bonus a year that they don't need, or are ever going to spend, is just all about prestige amongst their peers.

I recall that when I worked as a Postie one Christmas we received, as our bonus from the management, a packet of seeds. I kid you not.
