Misandry - The hatred or dislike of males.
I sometimes see young girls with slogans on t-shirts saying things like 'Boys are stupid'.
Kathy Lette wrote a best selling book entitled 'how to kill your husband'
Often I have heard and read that a reaction to a man having an extra marital affair is 'hope you cut his balls off'.
In adverts you see men looking like idiots doing household chores.
The TV show Loose Women constantly hammers home how inadequate men are.
Imagine if Young lads wore T shirts with 'girls are stupid', there was a book about 'how to kill your wife', a joke between two men about cutting out his wife's vagina after an affair, adverts where women were deemed stupid and inadequate, and a TV show fronted by male celebs who made generalisations on womens sexual prowess, their looks and status?
In this recent Sun article about Domestic Violence the whole emphasis on the perpetrators were the men and the victims were the women.
The only helpline numbers were WOMENS aid ones!
Is this equality gone too far?

Re: Misandry
I think it's a natural psychological phenomenon (isn't it Olay?).
Society gets geared up to combat something so hard that they ignore, though not always purposely, other, just as important injustice.
My Mum was telling me some years ago about a man complaining on the Trisha show -or another similar talkshow- that his wife beat him, with weapons like the frying pan etc, and the audience took it as something to laugh at; the man had even visited hospital due to injuries incurred.

I used to spend a lot of time criticizing Islam on here in the noughties - but things are much better now.

This is one of my pet hates. There's an advert for cranberry juice showing two women at a health farm laughing about a handprint one of them had left on a male attendants backside. Would this be allowed if the sexes were reversed, or would we have cries of making light of sexual assault?

We have need of you again, great king.
