Ok, two things... anyone here going to the Sex Maniac's ball? I've not been before but I'm trying to get a little group together in my Yahoo Club (prooving difficult, even with 1,400 members!) it's on July 28th, in (or near) London. Any takers?
Secondly, I notice this site sponsors 'Your Choice' - they're certainly quick and good (except for the annoying copyright to Your Choice notice they stick in the films in the best bits) but I prefer http://www.vidshop.com - not as quick, but what a range! I've yet to see anyone bar Excalibur Films (which takes ages to get DVD's from) beat them for sheer number of titles available.

I can only say that I have monitored a few different newsgroups and forums for comment on Vidshop over the last 6 months or more, and it is usually bad I am afraid.
I have used them successfully but then suffered problems, eg delay and claims on the website that tapes would be originals, then copies were supplied. (Although genuine, shrink-wrapped DVDs and some videos were supplied)
However, that is not to condemn them out of hand, they must still be supplying someone out there. Any other GOOD experience of Vidshop? Their selection is indeed impressive. I just wonder that if you order from it, will they supply?

Well I ordered the 'Bad Wives' DVD from them, and they did deliver (just within their 14 day guarantee) but they failed to respond by email to confirm my purchase had taken place at the time. So after waiting a week, I decided there must have been a problem and ordered again. Again, no response. I just figured their site must be down or something.
Two weeks later, two DVD's arrived (despite an email from me telling them only to send one). They appear to be originals, and I have had no problems. However, obviously I do not want two, I only want one. I have emailed them and tried ringing their number but the phone is always "mailbox is full" and emails just get ignored. I'm not sending my DVD back, because I'm pretty sure they'll keep it and I'll never hear from them again.
If anyone is inteested in the 'Bad Wives' DVD, you can have it for a tenner. It's worthless to me if I keep it. It's still in it's envelope, unopened. Give me a shout if interested.
I will continue to use Vidshop for stuff I can't get elsewhere, cos they do deliver, I'll just expect no receipt and have to wait a couple of weeks for delivery.

Sex Maniacs Ball is always a blast!!
Also, we are Vidshop affiliates and have never had any real trouble with ordering videos nor their paying us what is owed for our sales. They have been slow to pay in the past but always come through in the end. Vidshop does not sell any videos directly though... they are just an online "shopfront" for distributors of the videos and that is why they have such a large selection.

This whole failing to answer email thing is a story I have heard from people about them time and time again. Their communication is appalling. What you have said about them doesn't sound like my idea of good service or reliability. I might try them again (they do have a lot of good stuff) but I really don't have money to waste and to me this is a problem company that is easily avoided.

how big is 'in the end'? I've had a 66% success rate. I've got 3 outstanding items. The earliest was 27 oct 2000 (still to arrive). They all take over 2 weeks and more.

Any tapes we have ordered (we tend to test affiliates before we put them up on our site) have come within 3 weeks. We have ordered both from the UK site and the US one. The affiliate payments have been slow in coming but they do get to us, normally 60 days from the end of the month we get paid. By far not the fastest in the world but as long as the checks keep coming we are ok with that.
