So according to news today long term unemployed will have to work full time for their benefit,they wont be paid minimum wage. Whats the difference between the jobless and criminals then who have to do community service?

Its just Nu Labour talking tough again but this dosnt kick in until you have been claiming benefits for at least a year which is fair enough, but within the next couple of years thousadnds of workers will find themselves on the dole with the downturn in the economy and they wont all find a job within a year, the economy might be fucked but the streets will be nice and clean !sad!

Well the scumbags who now undertake unpaid work (the new title for community service) dont work in the rain or snow for a start.

Im for the idea of the true scrounging scumbags and associated dreggs having to do something.

but its all hot air th eonly people they will hassle or the genuine unemployed not the unemployable.

May I say:

Up the road from me is a family of right arseholes, the daughter has never done a days work, left school maybe late last year.
So must be 17 at tops, had a child this Easter, now pushes a pram , but still has a fag on the go , along with a mobile phone, and then is often seen with a can of lager. Class sheer class, and nice to know that I'm being taxed for this slag. Oh the family sold the small car , now drives a older volvo......

When governments are in trouble and dyin on their arse they come up with schemes like this...the unemployed,the sick,single moms,immigrants,all cope it to try and deflect critics of the government...nothing will really changed except names....

Though as usual where is the voice of us the People, has anything actually changed in the years of Labour .
I'm now 47 , and fed up with everything tax, fuel, housing, general costs, EU, the list can run & run , but who is there who is not making money off the back bone of the uk people?

The people don't have a voice.....no government has ever really delivered all their promises....today was just a green paper,has to go through committies and votes and the Lords....but looks like their getting tough,but their not....knife crime same thing they'll keep talking tough,but won't really do anything...

Its simple:

Get a job like the hardworking people of Britain and you won't have to do community service.

The Labour Party looks after the working class- that's the people who work. Not the underclass who won't.
