Spanish being racist to Lewis Hamilton again

According to radio news. I don't know what the Spanish are doing being racist to a mixed race person? It's not like they're really white either - a lot of Spanish are about the same colour as Lewis Hamilton or even darker.

I'm pretty sure if the Brits behaved like this in any sport they

It's not that long ago that black people suffered routinely similar abuse in Britain.

In different countries matters like this develop at different speeds (and not always in the same direction), regarding laws just as well as public consciousness.

I am not condoning anything here (I lack the authority to condone anyway), but I had often the impression that Brits are quick to condemn such violation of their standards in other countries, while if they are at the receiving end of similar criticism it's an outrageous interference in their own matters. I suspect, there's a wee remnant of colonialism here...

In that case its something to be proud of. We are ahead of the rest of Europe in something at last.
