This moaning, arrogant, ungrateful individual has just been given ?300,000 in an out-of-Court settlement by the Met police over claims he was "undermined" by his seniors. Just the latest case he has brought against them which has resulted in him becoming rich because the Met don't want the hassle and embarassment of a Court case. His collection of houses and cars must be getting huge now!

Personally I'm appalled - someone can return home from Iraq having lost a limb, maybe two, and they get about one-third of that in compensation. They also often have no job, or home of their own, to return to. This twat just moans and gets rich. This sort of shit only happens when the Left are in power. What do other people think about this?

In my eyes he's a delusional Reggie Perrin character - he grew to believe all the hype that had him promoted way beyond his competence. He probably still believes he is better than any of his colleagues.

He retires on Thursday on full pension, but to him I think this will seem like a defeat, seeing he has to pay some hefty legal charges and his salary was already ?180.000. He's only left with a sum about equal to staying at work an extra year or so.

His reputation is damaged now and he's set the cause of ethnic police officers back years. Although he won't see it that way.

Maybe he'll go and whip the Pakistani police into shape, they could use him - he may be rubbish, but he's better than their rubbish. Plus his ?300,000 will go a long way over there.

JHW, you forget that he is on a final salary pension scheme. He will carry on getting his full salary until he dies plus his little payoff.

I think a final salary pension scheme means you get half your final salary. It means that the amount will be a propotion of what your final salary was and remain at that level till you die. This prick Ghaffur will have that, all the massive cash payments they have given him for moaning, and he will also become a regular on the after-dinner speech circuit, and become a book writer (where he'll just go on about how racist everyone is). This guy is a complete arsehole who deserves nothing!

Bet he wishes he'd gone to the US and not the UK - their pension scheme is much better than ours for seving policemen. They get nearly 100% of their salary after 25 years service, with no contributions. They just have to not get shot dead or fired for corruption/misconduct to receive it.
