Can still remember the first time I saw him perform. Didn't know much about him but blagged a ticket for a gig on spec.

He swaggered on with an Echoplex and a crate of Newcastle Brown ( "I'd like you to meet the other members of the band..." ) and held the audience spellbound for two hours.

Some people were crazy about him....
