one eyed jack. I still think three years in the nick is excessive for chucking your shoes at someone. I'd say the same if his pumps came flying towards my head aswell. We can all think of much worse crimes people have committed which have involved much less of a punishment. And besides, George Dubya is a dick!

He should've been given a medal for throwing them; and had it taken away for missing. Two shoes and he missed with both?

And he was beaten half to death in prison afterwards for his efforts.

Throwing a shoe to those people is a major insult, worse than spitting in someones face is to us, so perhaps the sentence reflects the revulsion they have to that act.
