So you rush out to fill up with 50 litres, and save what, at 2p a litre, a quid or so.

Why not drink one pint of beer less tonight and you will save twice as much.

A quid is just not worth worrying about, you will probably spend that waiting in the queue with everyone else trying to save a quid.

It is the principle that hurts. Economy is in the clart so lets get some tax off everyone. The man who runs a 5 litre M5 won't be bothered, the poor man who runs a 1992 Orion feels it more.
