I don't think there has been sufficient condemnation of Claire Balding's bullying and class terrorism. Something very nasty has reared its head when Balding thinks her behaviour is acceptable. She made the judgement to proceed with her line of questioning and she wouldn't have apologised had she not been made to.

It's showing people the lack of respect they deserve as a human being and I find Balding's behaviour abhorrent and as worthy of censure as that of Brand and Ross.

People like Balding and Anne Robinson undermine work which is done is schools around anti-bullying. If you behaved towards someone in the workplace as Balding did towards Liam Treadwell you would find yourself on a disciplinary.

Many people on this forum talk about 'Chavs' endlessly ... tell me, where's the class in Balding's behaviour ?

As someone who plays a lot of team sport nicknames and piss taking are all part of the fun. I've had loads of nicknames over the years, none of them complimentary, but it's give and take. The dressing room has a unique atmosphere, it may be a cliche but it is character building.
When he played for Liverpool Peter Beardsley's nickname was Quasi. Ian Botham answers to Beefy. Glen Mcgrath is Pidgeon. All tagged after the way they look.
Don't take offence on other peoples behalf.

Believe me, you don't choose your nickname. And if you let people know you don't like it it is sure to stick.
