o/t Why?

Post by Bob Spunkhouse »

I have done alot of bad and illegal things in my life. Most of them I do not regret, but why do a couple do this?

Thats a question that has been asked throughout the ages. There will always be sick freaks of nature who will carry out such evil deeds. My heart goes out to the parents of those poor little girls. Its absolutely terrible.

My gut instinct is to kill both of the couple who have been arrested. Yet my logic and legal(ish) mind say it is wrong to pre-judge people. If they did it I would be quite happy to see them both swinging on the end of a rope. However we should remember that many an innocent man has been hanged in this country. Derek Bentleys case was a dreadfull tragedy and an example of why we should not have the death penalty. He was just an educationally subnormal kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That said if these two did do it then I hope they rot in Hell. Or better still stick them in a room with me and a knuckle duster. I am sure several forumites feel the same. Marcus Allen can bring his own knuckle dusters cos I only have one pair. But dont tell Officer Dibble as they are classed as an offensive weapon.

It must be pointed out that these two have not yet been charged, nor mind been convicted. I would think twice before you start suggesting we 'kill' someone as this could (1) get the person posting it locked up for insiting violence and so on, and (2) get this message board shut down.

We have yet to find out why these children were killed as well as how.

To be honest the whole thing seems strange.

I would guess that the girlfriend being a school helper would be police checked and he may also have been as he was in a school, so one would guess that both had no record, if they did then the question is how they got a job with children.

The question I think we are asking is were these children also raped, or just killed. If these children have been raped then have others been raped in the village.

The other question is why now and why these two children? Nothing seems to make sense.

The other quetion is where the children's bodies just dumped or buried? And why?

When the chap and his girlfriend were on TV both came across as if they had no idea what had happened to the children.

The other question is could this have been prevented? At this point in time it would seem not.

Like most, I thought these two children would turn up alive, so I think we are all very upset, more so as I think we felt the children would be alive.

Yup, tragic news, without doubt.
Agree re. pre-judging, but a question of a sort: Photos of the accused, who are "innocent until proven guilty" in a court of law are all over the papers & web. AFAICT this is a departure...

Supposition has it that the old Bill's profiles new that a terrible end had probably befell the girls, but kept up the ""pretence"" (Note the double parantheses)to try and stimulate a remorseful admittance from the felons. This is a proven technique in profiling, so full marks for the Cambs & Nat Crime Squad on this one.

It looks like the Moors Murders now have a sibling...
Fair makes the skin crawl doesn't it...

Indeed George, I noticed the police techniques straight away. Anyone with any sense knows that if a kid is missing for more than a couple of days then the child is dead. I am an uncle so I feel repulsed by this sort of crime but the police handling was crap. The first DCI was kicked off the case because he said he thought the girls were dead. He was replaced by a goon who convinced the parents that the girls were alive.

This stuff upsets me. Im off to bed.

Agreed, Lizard. Upsetting, speculative and futile. There'll be other occasions to discuss this. Just now is too soon.
