The original Perrin was close to genius but the new Perrin was shite.

In the coverage of the Damned United reference was often made of the face-off between Clough and Don Revie in which Clough explained his motivation as 'wanting to do it better' than Revie. No-one who is involved with the new Perrin - actors, writers, producers, directors, camera operators - can hold any sincere belief that there is any prospect of doing it better than the original. So why bother ? It's a waste of everyone's time !

Bit unfair to blame the camera operators. Hired help, and all that. Fault lies a lot higher up the food chain.
