Re: The Specials.
Is it just The Specials? Or have they got a bunch of supporting acts?
I saw Stevie Wonder at the O2 and that cost ?60.
I think concerts are really expensive these days. Maybe they are charging for the lost revenue on piracy.

Re: The Specials.
They are supposed to be at V Festival this year, far better value for money - got my ticket sorted already, I grew up a Rude Boy but I wouldn't pay nearly ?100 for 1 gig! I bet the gig will be a 'Ghost Town' !tumbleweed!

Re: The Specials.
Yeah, ?100 is extortionate. It's racketeering - what you'd expect of 'Gangsters' lol
Re: The Specials.
I've never believed this "sold out in minutes" shit. It just doesn't make sense. I reckon the promoter just block sells all the tickets to agencies, and then declares "the tickets sold out in minutes."
He's got his money up front, so he's passed the risk on to the agencies, who then screw the fans for as much as they can get, so a ?35 ticket ends up being sold to a punter for ?100. Rip off fucking Britain strikes again.

Re: The Specials.
My brother bought a ticket for the FA Cup semi-final at a very inflated price. Some of these agencies are so intent on reducing their costs to an absolute minimum that they made some lame excuse for not mailing the ticket out to him, and he had to meet someone in a hotel near Wembley to collect it. He'd paid a lot for the ticket, there was probably some dubious admin charge as well, and they couldn't be arsed mailing the ticket out to him ! Wankers.
Re: The Specials.
These gigs always sell out quickly, tickets bought up by touts who sell then for even more exorbetant prices, I ain't playing any more.
Years ago, touts used to be useful, and you could haggle, and get in for a reasonable price.... Not any more!
