My former boss worked at the European Space Agency, ESA in Darmstadt during the mid-to-late 1960's. His primary task was aiming pot-shots at Ruskie satellites with laser beams by all accounts. Anyway, we were on a dull project in a duller Swiss 5-Star hotel on Lake Geneva one day, having a few cool ones when he asks:
How do you reckon NASA actually returned that Apollo 13 module safely back to earth then?
Don't know Graham, do tell.
TELEPATHY!
Anyway he reckoned the yanks had a group of boffins sitting in a room at Mission Control transmitting critical information to the astronauts telepathically.
Ye or nay do you think?
Apollo 13 returned by telepathy?

this is the yanks remember! there could well have been a bunch of psychos in Houston sitting in a room going: brainwave, brainwave, brainwave - right lads, switch the secondary control capacitor over to the primary circuit . . . . they weren't "connecting" to the astronauts though that IS FOR CERTAIN!
