Just wondering if anyone else here has been having trouble with the new 'improved' Firefox browser version 3.5.2?
Since updating, its been driving me mad with refusing to load pages properly (no images or graphics, just text) and frequently claiming website servers cannot be found. I was using it on two computers and the problems were only happening on one to be fair. Anyway, I decided to swap back to I.E. and the problems stopped.
I'm using I.E.8 and it seems faster than Firefox (so far) plus more reliable. Perhaps Mozilla has been employing some ex-Microsoft engineers who love writing gigabytes of bloatware.

Re: Firefox 3.5.2 Problems
No problems here and it's installed on about 4 different PCs I use (using OSX 10.4, XP Pro, XP Home, Windows 7 Ultimate RC). Since you admit it only has issues with one PC then I'd look at the machine first.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling completely. IE8 is better than IE7 and pretty snappy but if you don't use add-ons then get Google Chrome. It's the fastest browser around.

Yes, I tried Chrome a bit but the lack of a scroll bar on the bookmarks slowly drove me mad. Some of my bookmark folders have hundreds of entries and it can be annoying waiting for them to slowly scroll down the way Chrome does it. I hope Google fix this up soon.

Yes I've had that problem with Firefox recently.

Deano, have you cleared Firefox's cache lately?
Tools / Options / Advanced / Network / Clear Now
Might be worth upping the Offline Storage - I have it set to 4096 MB and don't usually get any problems.

Is it any wonder that the monkey's confused?
Re: Firefox 3.5.2 Problems
Thanks for the offer but I already went on the Mozilla forums and tried their suggestions. The link scanner used to be a problem slowing things down but I think Firefox changed this last year. The anti-virus can apparently cause problems but I checked all those things as recommended and still got nowhere.
I may change back to Firefox if they fix it up and, if MIcrosoft do what they always do and fuck up I.E.!

Re: Firefox 3.5.2 Problems
Yep. I tried that early on as I remember having that problem with I.E. a few years ago when it wouldn't save images as jpegs when the cache was full.

Re: Firefox 3.5.2 Problems
Some have said they have fixed their problems by deleting add-ons
This posted not that long ago
Just removed the Skype add-on and that fixed the problem for me.
Lesson: it's way too easy to blame Mozilla for ruining FF, but the add-on programmers are the problem!
I tend to agree with this....if you've got too many of the 5000+ add-ons for firefox and just one isnt up to speed with the new browser then you've got issues
Something tells me its not the only issue with the new upgrade
