Nirvana object to Kurt Cobain's use in Guitar Hero

Dave and Kriss, the two surviving members of Nirvana, have objected to what the 'Guitar Hero' video game makers have done with their former lead singer - the late Kurt Cobain. Apparently, you can get the cartoon Kurt to play songs by any artist you like, not just Nirvana songs. Jon Bon Jovi weighed in today supporting what the other members of Nirvana have said. He said today "I wouldn't like a cartoon version of me being able to do just anything either." I think if they are going to 'reserect' Kurt Cobain for one of these things then he should only be playing Nirvana songs. To have him jamming out songs by Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder seems rather ridiculous! What do other people think, or do you agree that the whole thing is rather stupid anyway?

Apparently the Reading show is a real classic, a landmark in their career, like the Beatles at Shea Stadium or U2 live at Red Rocks. That is ok to do I think because it is just a gig of them live, it is not some commercial sell-out thing where one of the band, or all of the band, are doing something very removed from the key thing they did as artists. I don't think Dave and Kriss get very much money anyway, they were in Court with that vile woman Coutney Love for ages trying to get a royalties deal sorted out. She gets about 92% of the income from Nirvana records sales and airplay and Dave and Kriss get 4% each. This is on account of Cobain having had a kid with Love - rather like how when a bimbo divorces a rich rockstar she will get 100 times as much cash if she had a kid with him than not. This is why you see so many rockstars with just the one child (I can think of many) - it is the insurance policy for the woman. Considering Kurt Cobain is the 3rd highest earning dead rockstar in the world - after Elvis and John Lennon - Courtney Love must be getting incredible money each year.

I doubt it. He tried to kill himself in Italy about 3 weeks before he finally did it in Seattle. There is a picture of Love looking genuinely upset as Cobain is being put in the ambulance.
