I don't like Labour, I fucking hate Tony (smug bastard) Blair, but I cannot accept this daily attack on Gordon Brown.
If the letter he sent out had been typed it would have been disrespectful as it didn't shown the personal touch. As it is he is attacked by the Sun for bad hand writting. The Sun that makes up stories about football fans/clubs every week.
Lets not forget we have lost 258 people in 7 years of war in Afganistan, God my family would have accepted that in the second world war, never mind first.
God bless all who fight for this country
I'm no fan of Gordan Brown but...
Re: I'm no fan of Gordan Brown but...
I'm no fan of Brown either, but I truly believe he's doing what he thinks is the right thing to do here and is acting out of real concern for the soldiers who are being killed.
I think the Sun is really sick in attacking him on this issue.
It's all about selling their newspaper (or should that be their toilet paper).
It's all about the Sun's agenda and fuck the upset to anyone else.

Re the Sun
Ah yes, the Sun and their fabled concerns for their readers.
Interesting that the Sun bangs on about the lack of equipment for "our boys".
The following
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/special_repo ... 302366.stm
outlines the Murdoch empire, part of which is the Sun, and their tax avoidance schemes which result in the UK Treasury losing many many millions of pounds each year of tax revenue.
It was Leona Helmsley, the American property developer who said "only the little people pay tax". In short, not Rupert Murdoch to any great extent, but you can't say the same for the people who read the Sun, I suspect.
Cheers

I hate Brown big time but this bollocks has gone too far. Maybe he paid the woman in a self sympathy way so everyone feels sorry for him. I for one think the Scum have taken the piss and he is not in the wrong this time.

The Sun
Edited by scum. Always was. I suspect always will be.
Sometimes it's the dead and the dying at Hillsborough that get the boot. Sometimes it's those suffering with mental problems like their "Bonkers Bruno" headline.
This week its a Prime Minister with only one eye who took the time to struggle and write a handwritten letter to a dead soldier's mother.
He also made the error in the Sun's judgement of refusing to cut back drastically the influence of the BBC so that it was a lot easier for Murdoch to turn a profit. I note the Conservative Shadow spokesman came out with a statement about the BBC that looked like it had been written by Murdoch's son.
Maybe if Murdoch paid the amount they avoided in tax dodges into the Army budget, the troops would be better protected.
This cartoon sums it up

A pox on the Sun and their owners.

And the sad thing is lots of people believe every story, and adopt every viewpoint that rag publishes.
