Nah ...Mugabe is causing genocide already so cheaper to have him do it than spend millions doing so then when hes killed enough people us brits will ride in on our white chargers and give our best tv smile with glint sound effect and say:
"Dont worry, never fear. Britain is here. We'll save you"
Thats how you win hearts and minds. (Im being a tad cunical by the way)

What the hell has it got to do with us what happens in Zimbabwe!!!!!!!
And don't give me the guff that we should save the "people" from a brutal dictator, there are far worse rulers in the world, but nothing will happen - perhaps because Zimbabwe is not an oil rich nation?.
I think the sympathy felt in this country is mainly for the dispossed white farmers. Now don't get me wrong I also feel a small amount of sympathy for them but our thoughts should also be with all the blacks that ZANU PF has brutalized and murdered over the last 25 years. Lets not forget that these white farmers and landowners led a very rich and rewarding life, and that has been the case even for the last 30 years since the UKGov sold them out in the Lancaster House agreenent. Goverments have a long memory, I know that Peter Carrington was of a different political party to Harold Wilson but I do believe that 'the goverment' never forgot or forgave Ian Smith and his declaration of UDI. They may not have wanted to act against him with sanctions but the black commonwealth demanded it and the white commonwealth had to support it or would have been accused as racists and supporters of illegal goverments.
I'm sorry, I seem to have lost the thread a little - will have to stop now.
