Do people actually read newsapapers anymore?

I would take any expose from the NOTW with a pincjh of salt. Is it true? Maybe, but such is my distrust for the printed media these days Im not surprised why people think they are reading the truth just because it is there officially in print.

That paper is meant for sheep and light entertainment and therein lies its success.

I also enjoy the hypocrisy of that tabloid where it purports to out the sleaze in our nation but then it is sleazy in itself telling it.

Many many years ago I used to go and visit my grandfather and grandmother on a Sunday for supper. The high spot of the visit was sneaking off to the bog with a copy of NOTW and hopefully a bit of "light" entertainment. You often got "tasteful" shots of Barbara Windsor and the like. Ahhhhhh the simple joys of youth.
