The Price Of Gold

The price of Gold has risen steadily this year and now keeps reaching all time highs, and yes a lot of this is because gold is a good hedge against inflation which will surely happen with all the money that is now being printed by most countries, but the recent highs are mainly because Central Banks ie: the Bank of England are now buying gold themselves to give their currencies some solid backing, yes the gold standard was abandoned years ago but now countries are realising that just printing money without anything of worth to back it up is futile, of course we all know that our PM when chancellor sold most of our gold when the price was low because he thought that his schoolboy economics could never go wrong [There Will Be No Boom And Bust In My Time] and now the B.of E. is having to buy gold back to try and give the miserable ? some sort of creditablity.

If Gordon Brown had ever tried to run a business he would have been bankrupt before he ever started !sad!
