Office XP Service Pack 3
I keep getting abox come up saying download microsoft updates,the update is a Office XP Service Pack,everytime I get half way downloading it,I get a message saying insert disc.I have'nt got disc or have lost it.Is there a way around this [I have wasted most of my working day on this and I would rather be doing what I normally do at work,play Football Manager]Thank You in advance.

This may or may not be helpful. And is merely a suggestion.
What appears to be the case is that you have Automatic Updates set to Automatic. This means that XP will try to install any Microsoft Updates itself without prompting by your good self.
This can be changed if you have lost the relevant disk which it would appear that the service pack upgrade is referring to.
If you want to change this, then from the menus, select Settings and then Control Panel. Within Control Panel, click on the Automatic Updates icon and click in the radio button next to Download Updates for me, but let me choose when to install them
Click Apply. This should prevent XP from trying to install Service Pack 3 all the time.
