Another child abuse scandal is now coming to light this time by Roman Catholic monks in Germany and if one considers the millions paid out internationally in hush money by this multi billion organisation one can safely extrapolate that the child abuse was endemic within the Roman Catholic Church, was the norm and also tolerated at the highest level.

I admit to being of Glasgow Bluenose bloodline but Old Firm insults apart the level of abuse the Catholic Church seems to be covering up is shocking. My work has involved me being part of child abuse cases and investigations and it is harrowing to say the least. Covering it up and paying hush money make the whole thing worse. Problem is in strong Catholic countries like Spain, France and Ireland the church is above the state in many peoples eyes. Glad I am an atheist.
