Live Sky matches

Post by spunkie »

How much longer are Sky going to persist with showing the big teams against the Premier League whipping boys?! Chelsea and United fans may enjoy these romps but for the rest of of us its just dull and predicatable! United against Newcastle was as dull as ditchwater, I think Newcastle had one semi decent chance in the whole 90 minutes! As for Chelsea v West Brom and Wigan just one big yawn. Its NOT exciting!! We dont want to see these one sided none events they're boring! I hope Sky get the message, there are other teams in division. Just not worth the subcription!

But what are the alternatives? If Sky just stuck to the big clashes then people would say the smaller teams are being ignored even more than they are now, and if Sky gave more coverage to the smaller teams vs other smaller teams people would scream that they don't pay ?20+ a month to watch Wigan & Blackpool, and demand to see the 'stars'.

Having just endured 46 minutes and 4 seconds of Muddlesborough v Shy of the Ballfield United - a half even the commentators said was the most tedious they had ever seen - I'm not sure what the O P expects Sky to do.

Certainly a diet of a few teamsat the top hammering poorer teams week in week out is just as tedious, but at least goals are more likely and that's what most armchair fans want.

Also, remember that the coverage rights are now sold in packages, which reduces the ability of the broadcasters to mix it up and give balanced coverage.
We have need of you again, great king.

Spunkie, check the stats behind the following scoreline and compare with the game I mentioned before. You'll see one good reason for the "top" teams being repeatedly covered by Sky :-

Fulham 2 Man Utd 2
