QUOTE: I watched them both light a fag and drive away.If they can afford fags why not their medication?
If they can afford a car they should be paying for their medication too.
In some communities it is a culture to be on Benefit, in chav towns and on chav estates you will almost be ostricised from the community if you have a job. These people are usually really thick and don't understand the ramnifications of what they do. There is an article in a newspaper today, I think it was The Sun, where they report some court cases, which occured this week, of Benefit fraud. Most of the people in the pictures resemble Waynetta Slob (the character from that TV show). Short, fat, really docile looking morons.

Max, has it occurred to you that you might be being manipulated by the papers ? That they're pushing your buttons and eliciting a very predictable response from you ? Why don't you try not giving them what they want ? Why don't you try witholding ?
What you're doing is passively accepting what the papers tell you as a general truth. Passivity = docility - in this respect you're the same as the people you appear to loathe.

Re: The "poor"
Has it ever occurred to you, that some people accept it because they see it every day ? I know of two people in my town (both on benefits) who drive mobility cars with personalised number plates.
How ???????

Oh my god, they were on the dole! Terrible people, let them burn in hell.
Re: The "poor"
Their standard of living should be at such a subsistence level of hand-to-mouth frugality that it should allow for no such extravagance ?
