The rich part 3

Post by David Johnson »

Listen to this top tip.

As I was wiping the vomit off my shoes (too many Pimms) on this Scottish bloke who was lying in a gutter in Sauchiehall Street (I just tell it exactly as it happened), the other night I got to thinking about the rich.

And it seems to me the thing that separates the rich from the poor (cunts every one aren't they, the poor?) is the sheer chutzpah of the well-off. They don't give a fuck do they?

Like Jackie Smith's bloke claiming porno on expenses. Nice one! And what about Danny Alexander? He buys a place in London. Tells the expenses bods in Parliament that this is his second home so he coins it in terms of expenses. And then he tells the taxman that it is his main home so that he can avoid capital gains tax. Genius! Then he okays getting Philip Green to get involved in spending cuts even though he has a track record in avoiding 300 million in tax. Allegedly, officer! And after all that get this, he lectures the Lib Dems on the importance of cracking down on tax avoidance!!!!!

You know the old adage about a consultant? Someone who steals your watch to get paid for telling you what time it is? You see chums that is the difference between the rich and the poor. The rich have no fucking shame. But we love the rich don't we? The poor, they are so fucking second rate, are they not?

An afterthought

I just want to make it clear that the reason I mentioned Labour MPs fiddling their expenses of which there are many examples, was that I did not want my post to cause any outrage among any Jim Slips before the watershed.

Thank you.

Yet, again I must remind you that the chief supporters and proponents of The Rich for the last 13 years have been Blair and his New Labour, cheating, swindling, hypocrites. You seem to have "airbrushed" this fact out of your own mind, David. But all of us in the real World haven't forgotten.

BTW Here's is an example of "Airbrushing" in Stalin's Russia, first you see Trotsky and then Hey presto, he's gone! Stalin didn't even have "Photoshop!"

James,

"Yet, again I must remind you that the chief supporters and proponents of The Rich for the last 13 years have been Blair and his New Labour"

Okay so lets take a statement like the one above. Its an opinion. Where are the facts to back it up?

Does the fact that Labour introduced a 50% tax rate opposed by the Tories back it up?

Does the fact that Labour introduced a minimum wage opposed by the Tories back it up?

Does the fact that Labour pored money into public services like health (close to collapse in 1997 according to independent assessors, the King Foundation, education, Surestart and the police back it up?

Does the fact that the number of children in poverty was cut by a quarter in the ten years between 1997 and 2007.

Does the fact that the Lib Dem/Cons introduced an emergency budget which the analysis of the independent Institute of Fiscal Studies shows that if you take out the top 10% of the income earners, for each of the remaining 9 10% slices, the poorer you are the more you pay percentage wise, illustrate that the Lib Dem/Cons are a big improvement?

Again I am not saying that the Labour party should not have done more with regard to taxing the rich.

So come on Jim, less of the pictures of Stalin, any old fool can dig those out. Let's see some information.

Cheers

So the truly poverty stricken Millibands are now the Labor (correct spelling after the Blair era) hierarchy. . Both live in million pound propertys, get their suits made on Saville Row and went to the finest universities. Old Labour, which stood for the factory floor or humble clerk is long gone. My boss is a so called socialist councillor. She hates blacks, the unemployed, reads the Mail and Times and wanks herself stupid over designer clothes and looks down on the majority of her constituents as lowlife. She is the epitome of champagne socialist snobbery. No wonder the late great Jimmy Reid gave up on Labour and joined the SNP! Nu Labour was politics for the social climber. Can't imagine Bessie Braddock or Eneurin Bevin getting excited at meeting a famous actress or coke head like Noel Gallagher.

Okay Arginald, this is the reply that sends everyone on the forum running to hide.

So lets see how you get on. This link provides a list of some of the last Labour government's achievements in terms of helping the less well off.

Read the list and then if the Labour party is just the party of social climbers, provide me a list of those measures which help the less well off that Thatcherism introduced or the current Lib Dem/Con coalition.

I await your detailed, factual reply with interest.

''The Rich'' is a very wide group. Many started with nothing, and have earned considerable sums, while building big businesses. They have then moved offshore,to avoid further diminution of their assets,by capricious British taxes. Most of these taxes support 'The Poor(another wide group)!!!

Speaking as someopne who lives in a ""Labour stronghold"",i say in all honesty the area was transformed from 1997-2010,gone were the cardboard boxes and people kipping in doorways,we had a government that actually bilth things and invested, and created jobs. I really dont see where all the venom about Blair comes from, other than the terrrible mistake which was the Iraq war.

I would prefer you didnt say things like the above. You are only going to annoy Jim Slip who believes that the Labour government were the " chief supporters and proponents of The Rich for the last 13 years"

Before you know where you are he will be comparing you with a Stalinist.
