I mean, off topic sounds like we should all get a life abit. Lets face it, most of our rants here are just rants that will never make an inpact on the world so meeting up to do the same sounds like some of us would do with our mates down the pub anyway.

Anyway given some of the spiteful comments on here I bet most of those hiding behind pseudonyms wouldnt even show and those that do will be vying for a fight.

Rodders would be the best though, surfacing from a puddle holding a knife in his mouth wearing war paint and in full combat gear and another poster (no longer here) threatened to cut my fingers off and stick a broomstick up my dead corpse so I dont really fancy that much.

It's a good idea but unrealistic. We all live in different parts of the U.K. (some from America) so getting there would be a chore. It would for me.

Much as it would be interesting to be a fly on the wall watching Jimslip and David Johnson arguing the toss after a few drinks, I pretty much echo what the altruist said. Distance plus people's conflicting, busy schedules would make coming up with a mutually-convenient date to suit everyone virtually impossible.

Plus the fact that (speaking personally, and without mentioning names) there's only a very tiny handful of posters on here whose musings, rantings and ravings have made any sort of "impact" (for want of a better word) on me (be it positive or negative) and who I feel it would be interesting to have a face-to-face with.

The rest are just anonymous online forum entities who are simply "there" and towards whom I have no major "feelings" (again, for want of a better word) one way or another - not to the extent that I'd be interested in investing time & money to travel to London to meet them anyway (and I daresay that they in turn feel the same way about me).

In any case, if there's anyone you feel particularly !love! !love! towards and really want to meet, why not just mail 'em privately to suggest a one-on-one over a jar or three somewhere? The worst they can do is tell you to fuck off.
