I'm sure both jimslip and David Johnson would gladly join me in congratulating the Dallas Mavericks in becoming NBA Champions.
Dallas beat the Miami Heat 105-95 in game six of a possible best of seven Finals series, thereby winning the series 4-2.
Details can be found here.
Congratulations from jimslip and David Johnson

Hi,
What a fine sense of perspective you have!
I do congratulate the Dallas Mavericks on their victory.
Their first I do believe as NBA Champions.
Cheers

David,
Do you have any interest in the NBA? Do you remember when Tony Blair came out to pay tribute to Frank Sinatra on his death even though he had never met him and didn't like his music? Blair never saw a bandwagon he didn't like...

Essex Lad
My word, what a cynic you are. If I wasn't such an optimist about humankind, this forum would have proper brought me down in the dumps by now.
First, my name is in the subject of the post.
Second, I was brought up gawking at the Harlem Globetrotters - poetry in motion, a bit like Blackpool's forward line.
Third, Frank Sinatra, what a singer!!!
"I took the blows.......my record shows.........I did it my way....... Regrets I've had a few......"
Mine's a pint of Speckled Hen, ta or failing that Essex Lad, a pint of Tanglefoot.
Cheers

PS Give Frank's version of "That's Life on Warner Bros, "My Way, the Best of Frank Sinatra" a listen (Track 18). The phrasing is ace!
