Blair, the godfather

Apparently Tony Blair is godfather to Rupert Murdoch's 9 year old daughter, Grace. This emerged last night as a result of an interview with Wendy Deng, Murdoch's wife.

Blair was in attendance at a "star-studded" baptism on the banks of the Jordan, at the spot where Jesus is said to have undergone his baptism. Don't ask which one played the part of Jesus.

Althought the event was photographed by Hello magaizine, (who else) no mention was made of Blair's involvement.

Ya kept that one secret, Tony!

It says in the paper, that according to Vogue magazine, he was 'garbed in white'. That'll be next season's must have outfit, for sure.

Also, I think they're mistaken. Blair wasn't on the banks of the Jordan, he was hovering about an inch above the flowing river, arms outstretched.

I wouldn't credit Murdoch with much of a sense of humour but asking Blair to be shrouded in white - symbolic of innocence and purity - is a joke right ?
