First: thanks to all you kind people who helped me find movies with Cara Lott!
1.
I've registered with "Excalibur" and ordered some DVD's. The order seems to have been accepted; I've copied the section concerning this
I've given them my master-card-No, as they asked for.
Now I'm surprised that they did not mail me a confirmation of my order as other distributers use to do!
In the meantime I've asked them twice per mail, if I did everything right, how things will proceed now, and when they will debit the sum from my bank account. But they do not answer. Is this normal?
2.
It is the first time that I use my master card, and feel a bit uncertain if I might have made a mistake. What do you think?
Please excuse me if these questions should be stupid. But I really want to know!
For any advice or helpful answer thanks in advance!
Kind regards
Ilse (asking all these questions in order to find the films my husband R?diger would like to have!)
has anybody experience with Excalibur?
Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
Maybe getting a response will be like getting a sword from a stone. (sorry)
Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
Maybe they got all DVD's together which you've ordered. I have no experience with excaliburfilms.com and cannot say anything about their business style. I made the experience with other things on ebay or at mailorders from USA and Japan, that all the things I'd ordered are receiving me without problems.
But it can take 2 or 3 three weeks after your order until you receive your orders.
I know this is a little bit off topic, but in my opinion a lot of people are very reckless with their credit cards. My opinion: Never (never!) give away any credit card informations by e-mail or via a website when you deal with porn! Use Paypal or another service if possible. If they won't accept this, they have a lost customer. Sounds hard, but believe me or not, I know what I'm talking about.

Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
About Excalibur, there is a thread here
Regarding the shipping of tapes, it was added on another thread that Excalibur probably does not ship them abroad due to licensing agreements.
I join Lou Ford about not sending credit card information by email given that every email can be intercepted. Regarding porn stores, the thing is to see if the page where to fill credit card info is secured (it is secured if there is a padlock on lower right corner of Explorer, or if it said to be crypted when clicking on "file"-"properties"). If it is not secured, this means credit card info can be read by someone else other than the store owner. I'll detail a problem I have recently had with a European store when the matter is over.

Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
Hi Lou,
thanks for your answer!
now another question: can anybody do anything with a credit card number, when the password or pincode isn't given?
I really do not know. I have no experience at all with credit cards.
thanks

Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
thanks a lot, Ben, for your answer. Do you know, if anybody can do anything with a credit card number without having the pin code?
thanks in advance!

Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
Hi Ilse,
Without the pin code, a person can order on the Internet, but most stores only deliver at the address of the card's holder, at least for the first order. The pin code is (only?) used to withdraw cash.

Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
I agree also with ben3 that someone else than the store owner can read this ... possible that your credit card numbers and your name can be found - think about the circumstance an employee had been fired - on sites which are not legal in your country. I don't want to talk here about this things.
A secure site always (!) begin with ?https? instead of ?http?. Sites which wants your credit card account and begin with ?http? are not secure against any attack!
I also agree with Ben3 that excalibur won't send off anything to europe because of licensing agreements. I'm a subscriber at Mojo magazine (music, not porn
) and a few years ago as an subscriber in Germany I never got the free CDs because of these agreements (Now I get them).
@zebrafink: I think you made an experience about the handling of credit cards today. But I think there won't be any disadvantage to you. So stay happy and I hope you learned something
Have a nice evening!

Re: has anybody experience with Excalibur?
I have no experience of Excalibur but, it would appear from evidence elsewhere on the net, that they fall short of the general industry standard. As I have said in another thread my last experience of an American distributor, xploited cinema, was exceptional. To order 3 dvds in rural England on a Sunday evening and to have those in your possession before 9am on Wednesday morning is remarkable. Unfortunately, apart from a few exceptions, this company seem to have stopped supplying hardcore. I could only find two films in their catalogue which seemed to be hardcore, which if it is the case is a shame, as they used to be a good source of vintage European hardcore. I have yet to have had any bad experience with ordering on the Internet. I find Austrian distributors to be generally reliable, although Orgazmik are ultra reliable, if somewhat tardy with deliveries.

Thanks for your answer, Lou Ford!
I don't understand about that licence agreement. I only know licence agreements which have to be signed when s.o. applies for online access for example to full texts of scientific literature etc. But what use is it for distributers of films? I think I will mail to Excalibur for the third time to ask for order confirmation. And that in case I don't get a confirmation within let's say two weeks, I regard my order as not accepted, and will look for my films at other more communicative places.
Which distributers for porn films could you recommend?
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Ilse
