Thanks for the heads up JJ...
I was not aware of the IAFD database info. I was going by the movie credits shown at the beginning of the movie, and I was about to provide a scene by scene breakdown, when I saw your post.
I don't know whether at this point there is any value in me doing a deep analysis of the movie.

I got suckered in several times with flicks that credited but didn't in
fact feature EL so I tend to have a knee-jerk reaction nowadays whenever
I see the name.

I'm sure anything you contribute will be worth reading

Re: SAHARA (1998)
I'll have another look at the movie...except I don't have a very good eye for the euro performers, and I will probably only make things worse....
But why does IAFD show the following information:
1.Amanda Steel
aka: Erika Lindaur, Amanda Still, Erika Thunder, Sharon, Erica Rossi, Anouska, Erika Shuster, Amanda Gier, Erika, Erika Noir, Erika Lindauer, Erica Lindauer
Years Active: 1996-1999
Titles: 36
2. Reka Gabor
aka: Erika Lindauer, Cleopatra, Reka, Reka Martinova, Francesca Zante, Reka Pallister
Years Active: 1997-2006
Titles: 29
Can you/someone clear up this confusion???

Re: SAHARA (1998)
Ask D'Amato. He (or his editors) is the main culprit.
What probably happened is that the alias Erika Lindauer, which is usually connected to Amanda Steel, was used by D'Amato in a movie in which not Amanda Steel but Reka appeared. Someone must have come to the conclusion that Reka was credited for that movie as Erika Lindauer. And somehow that perhaps faulty deduction found its way into the IAFD.

Re: SAHARA (1998)
And Walter...we are forever losing our time trying to straightening out the idiotic errors (by overt omission and commission) made by performers (who endlessly change their names from film to film) and directors/distributors who have no clue or could not be bothered who starred in the films they shoot.
I do not believe I ever heard any apologies from actresses or directors about erroneous information which has found its way in such databases as IAFD or EGAFD. Many pretend or claim they never heard of either, but the majority will not lift a finger to correct any wrong data....
Having said this, is there any value in analysing the contents of this movie or are we agreed that EL does not appear in it???

This is as close as I have gotten with producers.. While he admitted he had made a mistake, note that Quasarman never posted back with the correct names as he promised he would.

IIRC, the data that EL does not appear was corroborated by at least two people. It's your call. It never hurts to hear a third opinion.

Or even a simple, old-fashioned review. These are very scarce on
egafd- and I'm as guilty as anyone. For my part, I can only plead
time-pressure in my defence; by the time I've made the essential
notes and posted the caps I have little appetite remaining for an
additional 'pen-portrait' but I concede it's a significant omission.
