Safe to use credit card at US porn websites?

Hello folks - quick query. I was thinking of joining the charmingly named 'blackmonstercock.com' site but I'm a bit wary of giving my credit card details out to pay for this. I'm thinking more of credit card security than discretion. Am I being over cautious? Any advice welcomed.

I never use credit cards for anything other then sorting piles of white powder. Only kidding.



Don't do it is my advise . I was stung by a porn site and had to close my account and open a new one just to stop them. If they bill you recurringly every month, stay well away. Use your card with Amazon, Jaded, Your Choice or Sainsburys. That's it.

i have got to disagree with Matt (you may think i am biased as a site owner, but I can assure you i have used my credit card for subscriptions prior to starting my site)

My advice would be that provided the credit card processing is being done through one of the major third party processors, such as CCBill, IBill, Globill etc you would be fine.

These are proper reputable companies that would stand to lose too much if they were ripping peoples card off.

I have had a look at their processing is being done by Paycom, who whilst not one of the larger companies, has been around for a while and i am quite sure are very honest.

I have never yet been ripped off by any off them!!

Dont class all adult sites in the same bracket...

Personally I'd say the site is way overpriced

As for using a credit card...yes to the major companies especially CCbill with who'm I have never had a problem

On the other hand I had a problem with ibill 2 years ago.
My bank decided(without my permission) to dishonor 9 small signups totalling USD36-00
Too this day I am still listed as blackbanned with ibill even though i have offered to reimburse them the money.They are not interested I assume because of the piddling amount.
My bank has said if ibill wanted the money they would have emailed us.Its a standoff with me in the middle.

A word to the wise.If you do signup

1.keep a running record of credit card internet signups
2.keep a copy of any email/signup
3.check your credit card statements
4.read the small print..terms & conditions when signing up
there are often little nasties designed to catch you out,

such as 3 day trials that need to be cancelled after 2

monthly memberships that need to be cancelled 7 days prior to
the end

Bonus sites that need to be cancelled seperately
