Just saw this news release, a case of real obscenity. There are some twisted f....rs around but what next?
Man jailed for "squish" movie
LONDON (Reuters) - A man has been jailed for nine months after being found in possession of what police termed "squish" movies showing small animals -- including a kitten -- being glued to the floor and stamped to death. Scotland Yard said in a statement on Friday Brian McCann, 47, was arrested after ordering another 1,500 pounds squish video over the internet -- including a scene of an eight-week-old kitten being skewered by a woman in high heels. Officers investigating the case said the video was one of the most disturbing they had ever seen. "I find it hard to understand why someone would want to watch such a film, yet alone how people could take part in the making of it," Inspector Brian Ward of the Obscene Publications and Internet Team said. McCann pleaded guilty and was convicted of conspiracy to publish an obscene video. Filmed in a pornographic manner, the movies show scenes of extreme cruelty to animals involving mice, guinea pigs and most sickeningly, an eight-week-old kitten, glued to the floor, being crushed to death underfoot, police said. Police said a search of McCann's house in Holloway, north London, yielded three other squish films as well as a large amount of similar material stored on his computer. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), helped with the police investigation. "This video is one of the most abhorrent instances of cruelty that our unit has ever come across. The animals involved forcibly endured a long and traumatic ordeal, which ultimately led to a painful death," Barry Fryer of the RSPCA's special operations unit said.

As a cat owner, I hope he got a long sentence, although knowing the way our courts work, I expect he'll be out in a week. Hope someone glues him to the floor of the showers.
Face down.

You don't have to be a cat owner to feel sick at this. This subject was raised recently on this forum with a very similar pattern involving guinea pigs and kittens. Some really sick bastards out there.

Re: O/T very disturbing What next?
Yes, the story quite upsetting and I almost wish I hadn?t read it. I find this kind of thing (torturing pets and small animals) more affecting and distressing than absolutely anything else. Indeed stories that have appeared in my local paper over the course of many years still stick in my mind today. Like when some Rottweiler or Pit Bull owning Neanderthal moron, broke into someone's allotment shed where they kept pet goats (which are very agreeable and friendly creatures) and set the dogs onto the three baby goats and their mother that lived there ? one can barley imagine the terror of the gentle creatures as they had their throats torn out for to satisfy the perverse pleasure of some low IQ badger baiting imbecile. Then there was the case of the little girl?s pet duck, another little girl?s baby rabbits, a donkey?I really don?t care to remember the details.
I do understand the kick that these kinds of things give some people; it?s maybe not quite sexual, but closely related. I don?t have any answers, people are what they are and I reckon the streak of cruelty that gives rise to these stories is present in many of us ? it?s just submerged and suppressed by the conventions of our modern society, unlike other societies ? ancient Rome for instance. They had no such reservations. There?s nothing they liked more than a day out with the kids at he local stadium watching animals and people being torn limb from limb and slowly put to death. So let?s not pretend we can?t understand the buzz this kind of thing gives.
I just suggest we remain vigilante and support animal charities (I make a donation to the Donkey Sanctuary every Christmas, big softie that I am) Also, the Old Bill (and the rest of us) should take a tougher line with people who wilfully hurt pets instead of harassing ordinary folk like motorists, exotic fag smokers, sex workers ?n? punters and folk who like to watch harmless shagging films.
