My copy shows a marked differece in quality/appearance nbetween the
Luna/del Lago scene and the ohters.... I suspect a hack-job but haven't
yet been able to ID any of the other scenes as coming from from elsewhere.

I saw the Pink'o PASSIONE NERA original version a decade ago, and I have
no clue where it is deeply buried in my Batcave to be able to review it.
I picked it up because it had Del Lago and Sexy Luna, who I was not familiar with at the time.
But my recollections are that it was rather a drab production, even though at the
time Pink'o used to produce high end moves (at least for the visual aspect) than
the other outfits operating at the time. The scenes seemed to be disjointed and with
different quality, and as you say most likely a patch job.

I did not keep personal notes of the movie, and I have no clue who directed it (or the
parts). I have seen references to a "Rudy Lucky" and to a certain mysterious "Vallera", and
the Italian box cover shows no director name.
Curiously "Vallera" seems to crop up on "Top Model 3" (aka:
Top Model Beauty Girls Vol. 3 (2004,Pink'o) with Julia Crow, Stacy Silver,
Zuzana P., which maybe a compilation tape (it does not appear to be in EGAFD)

TOP MODEL 3 is indeed in EGAFD

and EGAFD indicates the director is "Ivana Mattei", who
I have never heard of.

Ivana Mattei according to the Pink'o web site was involved in two
movies they list:
Schoolgirls #1, with Jennifer Dark , Jessica Fiorentino , Julia Crow , Sandy Style


Schoolgirls #2, with Adela, Dagmar, Daniella Shiffer, Janny, Jennifer Dark, Jessica Fiorentino, Julia Crow,Melissa, Sandy Style, Sarah O'neil, Tereza Fox, Valentina Valli


Both movies are listed in EGAFD

If you take the first scene of PASSIONE NERA, it involves
Antonella del Lago, Sexy Luna, Wesley Pipes, Billy Banks (billed as Willys)
I don't think Wesley or Banks traveled to Italy just to shoot that scene.
If you look at the filmography of Sexy Luna (the one I am a bit more
familiar with) you will notice that they traveled to the USA at that time
and shot scenes for Pink'o:
THE BEST OF MY LIFE
quite likely IL CALIFORNIANO SULLA LUNA (only with Sexy Luna)
and of course ITALIAN GIRLS A LOS ANGELES

I would strongly conclude that the Pipes/Banks IR scene with Luna and
Del Lago was shot in L.A. during that stay in the US, and it was just stuck
in PASSIONE NERA, along with other scenes shot in Italy with other EURO performers
I mean is it not really odd to publicize a movie involving interracial scenes,
and yet only one of 4 scenes is IR? I think that IR scene was just "left over"
from their US trip and Pink'o simply wanted to monetize it by inserting it
in a DVD and try to market it as a IR tape involving their Italian porn stars
Del Lago/Luna.

One last (hopefully!) curious thing about PASSIONE NERA.
I believe SHE'S A TEAM PLAYER #3 (by Demolition Video)
is the very same movie, although the thumbnails on the back
cover seem a bit odd.

and leave it as an "alternate" title of PASSIONE NERA
