You will have wasted valuable time and effort for something that is quite futile.
There are dozens and dozens of reasons why a performer uses or is given a certain porn name.
I don't even know where to begin to outline some reasons.
=Certain porn sites, producers, distributors want a certain "exclusivity" for the performers they use. So if a girl shoots
one or two scenes for them they will say she is "Leena". The girl then is contracted
out to another web site/producer and they in turn will think up of a another porn name, say "Jennifer"
A couple of weeks later she shoots a scene for a DVD release, and she may declare her porn name is "Anna", but when the DVD box cover art
and screen credits are prepared, they decide to indicate "Angela". And this same exercise or variations are repeated
over the next several weeks/months/years until such time as the girl has gone through about 10-12 porn names. Then we (porn consumetrs
and database workers) go crazy trying to figure out what this girl has done in porn and what names she has
used and who she has worked for. We try to compare tattoos, hairstyle, moles, beauty marks, etc to try to make
a better match
=and sometimes the fault may entirely or partially lie with the performer who goes through porn names like her underwear, until one
day she may or may not settle on a final permanent name. And there are performers who show up at a shoot and affirm their porn name is "Claudia", and gives
different name for a handful of other scenes even performing anal or DP,
then will shoot another scene a month later and pretend she is making her movie (and anal) debut, as she just got off
the bus.
I mentioned earlier in my post about "exclusivity". There have been certain studios (euro and US) who have hired or put under contract a certain
performer who has done previous work under a or other porn names. They will give her a brand new identity (perhaps new tits, hair color, etc) and ID, to ensure that
the public does not make any connection to her previous porn career in order not to dilute their present marketing of this "exclusive" arrangement
So essentially everyone plays the "name game", and I have been told by actual performers that they often have no control over what name
is slapped on a scene/DVD title. They just sign a release giving their real name and ID's, and the producer is free to use that material as they
please with no residuals paid out or any control as to how that scene is used or what name is used.
The majority of these performers shoot scenes and their basic desire is to get paid. They are not
overly worried about their place in the firmament of porn stars, or whether a handful of movie titles are
missing in EGAFD/IAFD/EBI. While some others have built a brand surrounding their recognizable porn name even going so far as to copyright it so it won't be used
or misappropriated stolen by some other individual. Jenna Jameson was not always Jenna. She used another name at the
very beginning of her career if I am not mistaken, but when she settled on Jenna Jameson she was a brand name. There is no other performer with that name
that I am aware of, and if anyone dared to use it, there would be lawyers all over them.
