risk
Re: risk
Assuming you're talking about the UK: AFAIK it should be OK - as long as
it's not too 'edgy'. Porn deemed violent or abusive is subject to confiscation,
but since US rules on this are broadly similar to ours there's usually no
problem.
I'm double-checking the current rules so there'll be a follow-up to this...
Tips:
Unless you absolutely must have all the extras, get it as a download.
Stuff from the Netherlands, and to a lesser extent Germany, is much more
likely to attract the interest of the Myrmidons at HMRC. About 1 in 3 of mine
from Holland used to get seized; after about my sixth nasty letter I quit,
mainly to get myself off their radar - and most continental sites now offer
downloads, anyway..
Specify despatch without case/cover; and choose the cheapest shipment
method possible... all this will lower your financial risk and reduce the
chance of inspection. If you don't seem in a hurry to get the stuff, then
busy Customs staff are more likely to regard it as something innocuous, like
a data-CD [US outfits are usually quite adept at providing 'vanilla' green
Customs declarations on the package].

Re: risk
many thanks JJ, I ordered a copy of "the dark side of Rocco" on the 18th and it hasn't arrived which makes me suspect it has been picked up.didn't specify no case.so long as it's just a letter and not a visit as I've got a lot of downloaded vids. will await your further valued comments.regards spazz.
Re: risk
USPS is notoriously slow - I wouldn't start to worry until a fortnight has
passed [am assuming you chose 'priority'?]. Was the 18th the despatch-date
[i.e. have you had a confirmation-email from the vendor]?
The EA edit of DSoR will have had all the 'nasty' stuff chopped. 4WIW.

Should be Ok, then. But if the disc is $22 then you've only paid about 5
on top for the shipping - which at USPS rates sounds like snail-mail to me,
despite that '5/6 days' claim. If it goes by sea a fortnight is usually a
minimum.

I said above, the EA edit is OK.

I didn't say Euro sites [all that 'Dutch' stuff probably confused you].
With d/ls the originating nation doesn't matter. What I'd do is search iafd
for your girls' titles, then look at the vendor downloads available. They're
usually of decent quality, although not DVD-standard, obviously.
For Euro-based d/ls [except Private, who of course have their own site]
you'll usually have to trawl thru Google for retailers.

Oh, I see. Yes, it's late then. In decreasing order of likelihood:
it's been delayed by Royal Mail at this end;
sticky-fingered postie has had it away;
they've charged you premium rate but sent it snail-mai, and trousered the
difference;
HMRC have stopped it. Letter usually follows within fortnight [the letter
itself is nothing to worry about, but your DVD will be incinerated].
In any case you'll have a tough job getting a refund.
BTW, can you confirm despatch was via USPS and NOT FedEx?
