This is very interesting indeed.
Could be the breakthrough we are waiting for.
Nothing on their site yet.
If anyone gets more news please post it here!

28.2E is not owned by SKY. It is a position in the sky occupied by satellites from both Murdoch owned-channels such as Sky and more liberal European broadcasters(such as Eutelsat who also own Hotbird at 13east) who happen to share the same position above us.

A good example is that all the old sky analogue dishes are now in place to recieve horrid filth from the Netherlands if a digital reciever was connected.

Seca and Seca2 and Irdeto2 make things more complicated. But there is still a lot of hardcore free to view if you get your dish sorted.

But if SCT is using Astra2 at 28.2E (i.e. Sky Digital) then it should be easy to connect a box to your digibox to decode the filth. If anyone needs further explanation then either buy a copy of What Satellite or mail me. I cannot guarentee a reply.

But I feel I should say that SCT is a piss-poor channel in my opinion. Its owned by Jessica Rizzo who does not avoid pissing, fisting and pregnancy. So if you like hard Italian and USA films then you will love SCT. I prefer Brit-Filth so I avoid SCT and all the other dedicated porn channels. I tend to veer more towards Canal+ and their 70`s output.

The best hardcore channel ever was Channel Bizzare but unfortunately it was owned by a certain Mr Goodman (North London Jewish chap) who decided to rip off his subscribers by going bust deliberately after he got the subs in. Anyone in the satellite biz will tell you that this guy was a con-artist. The day he filed for bankruptcy he was still selling viewing cards to dealers at a cheap rate. Obviously preferential creditors like Her Majestys Customs swallowed up the dosh(VAT). I spoke to a London friend who said if the guy ever showed his face again in the sat biz he would be sorry. I also spoke to a major dealer in the East End who said if the bloke ever tried his rip-off stuff in the sat trade he would find himself and his Ferrari at the bottom of the river. I said such things were horrid and that even though the bloke was a shit he should be exposed rather than drowned.

He owes many people thousands and yet he drives a Ferrari. He was behind various other scams and my friends in the sat press will verify this. He even had his parents as company directors of Channel Bizzare based in Amsterdam. Shmuck!!

If you dont believe me then just ask Barnett Trading Standards about him and his family and thier history of rip-offs.

What does it mean at the end:-

"It will certainly be a poke in the eye to the law breakers at the ITC"

Also, i never realised it's possible to connect an external decoder to a digital receiver. Of course, it's usually done by a Common Interface CAM and card in the receiver itself but that can't happen on a digibox. It reminds me of the good old D2MAC days.

all the best

Several points: the Astra and Eurobird satellites at 28 degrees east which transmit Sky Digital are not British owned and are not owned or controlled by Sky.
Satisfaction Channel Television (SCT) is not British and is nothing to do with Sky.
Therefore all of above are outside the control and influence of the ITC and the British government.
The worst the government can do is ban advertising of the channel. If advertising is banned all it means is paying overseas using a credit card which is easy. If you haven't got a card there are other methods.
Early digital receivers did not have CAMs and add on CAMs were fairly commonplace - shouldn't be a problem.
Sky Digital receivers have two scart connections and scart 'Y' connectors are available if two isn't enough. There are facilities for 'Adding Other Channels', see your receiver manual. These other channels will not appear on the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) which isn't a problem. I don't forsee major difficulties.
SCT may not be the best but it is a foot in the door. If successful others may follow.
Avoid the rip off merchants who advertise receiving h/c now with your Sky Digital system.
Apols for duplicating some of Mr Magoo's comments.

Although as Mark points out re. 30 degrees west, free to air is available, I assume that Magoo was making a distinction between 'free to view' and 'free to air' i.e. FTV with a suitably programmed card ( goldwafer or better still a Funcard 2) rather than paying a legitimate subscription.

I guess that this is more applicable to most people, like myself, who can only receive Astra 19 and Hotbird 13 with a twin LNB set-up rather than having a motorised system which you are likely to require to receive 30 degrees west.
