Distribution?

Hi all and a happy new year,can anyone give me an idea in how DVD distributed works in the u.k. and worldwide,sat. t/v web ect...
Thanks to this forum Im going to start a new production Co.
But what I cant find out is once youve shot edited your video whats the best way of getting it distributed.I can produce a DVD on p.c. useing single or double layerd(90mins/3hrs) media.
What do you guys do,go to a already established DVD production Co. Or on a small home type scale just burn of copies and sell direct to adult video suppliers,then theres the question of b.b.f.c. rateing.
Q.I have produced 90mins of video on dvd+,designed DVD cover,how do I get this mass produced and in the shops?
Any comments or advice would be welcome.

Are you planning to do this all by yourself? How many years experience have you had producing videos? Do you feel out of all honesty you have a product that people will buy? There are many people who get into this business asking the same thing and to be honest, not many people are going to be helpful because they have had to apply their knowledge, backbone and money into starting a business. Your best bet is to tag along with one of the already established companies.

If you are serious about this, you will have to do your homework like any other business. The clues are scattered about this forum and the archives.

Have to agree with Terry, its a learning curb for us all & as much as i help all new am video makers who e-mail me there's somethings that we must keep back as it takes years to learn how to make, press, distribute your work. Weve been there when the going been rough, Police/Newspapers etc so what weve learnt in that time is priceless i'm afraid.
