UK based hosts for adult websites?

Can anyone recommend any good UK hosts that support adult content websites? It is not for hardcore porn, just girl only stuff up to the levels you now see in UK top shelf mags.

I've heard from a few sources that the US is the best place to host such a site. As for the website itself, I aim to try and build it using PHP Nuke. So the hosts will have to support Linux running on Apache web server, MySQL, PHP.

I'm not in a desperate rush for this info at this time, just doing some preliminary investigations

You won't find a webhost in the UK even to host topless pics.

Most sites are hosted in the US where it is legal to host porn, and also the cost of bandwidth is far far cheaper than anything you can get in Europe.

Our best bet is www.ev1servers.net who offer a good service at a great price, only downside is they don't really offer much in the way of server maintenance support so you would need to be able to manage the server yourself.

Most hosts run what you are looking for as the norm today.

As Paul said forget the UK. If they find a topless pic on your site they'll close your account and the cost is far higher here even for non adult hosting.

I use 5 hosts in case there is ever a problem, so let me know what you want to pay a month in US$ and I might be able to help with a name or two. Also as you seem to be just starting do you want your own dedictaed server or shared hosting.

If you manage to find a UK host who allows adult stuff, the price is very high and the storage/bandwith they offer is almost laughable.
Go to US as the other guys say.

It would just be one website initially but working up to maybe 3 sites a few years down the line. Shared server would probably suffice for starters, I'd just keep upgrading as and when I can afford it.

I reckon a limit of no more than ?500 per year all in for the first website would be what I would be prepared to pay. So if you can recommend any hosts based on that info, that would be great

I won't be able to start working on the site until later this year.

you might also look at they offer quite a lot of storage and bandwidth they are pretty cheap, i have a free site hosted with them and also use it as a backup server.
