Probably the best DVD site in the UK....

Post by pecker77 »

....if I say so myself!

Hi guys.

Probably the best place in the UK to get adult DVDs is this place, it's the first of it's kind and it works very smoothly -

Not only can you swap your existing porn collection for stuff you've not seen for just ?3.99 per swap and an annual membership fee of just ?9.99, but if you don't have your own collection you can pay ?19.99 and they'll send you your first title with your welcome pack.

Watch it for while, get bored, swap it for something else.....wicked.

There's no envelopes or stamps to buy, no labels to print out, everything you need is supplied and handled by the site's admin team, and if you run out of envelopes or lose them, just e-mail them and they send your more FOC.

They have 100's to choose from including new stuff like Tera, Tera, Tera and 1 night in Paris and all DVDs are delivered discreetly, quickly and securely from the UK. They always have 100's if not 1000's of titles in stock for immediate shipping, and you can search by title, genre, director etc.

Happy swapping....!

Hmm, yes. Great for the punter I suppose but what happens if 5 people want a specif title and there's only one left...Why stop there, what if a lot more want a specific title, what happens then? Are you given the next title or do you have to submit a multitude of choices?

From a legal point of view though, its an illegal service. Just because you think you are swapping doesnt make it legal if money is still changing hands and the material is still sent in the post within the UK. Naughty, naughty.

I think its a great service to have...Lets burn the UK porn industry down.

Terry
I totally agree. As producers we have to set up legit distribution routes. We go through the "pain in the ass" process to satisfy the UK legal system.. Put the releases through the BBFC. Only to have the our product offered in some "Swap Shop" forum that blatantly flouts the very legislation that we have to navigate our way through.
I'm suprised that the BGAFD are allowing the post by default adding support to this illegal activity.

Oh come on guys, this is only a copy of what is already happening with mainstream DVDs with Blockbusters and Chanel 4 to name but two offering a similar operation. Pay approx ?12 a month and get unlimited dvd rentals.
If I were you I'd be trying to embrace this and get involved by offering your product to these rental operations. You can't stop progress I'm afraid.

That takes care of the rental side but as for swapsies well it's been happening via forums anyway since the begining of the internet so that ain't going to stop.

That should stir up a few comments :-)

Hey DiSanto,

I came across this information from the registered domain name. If this company are illegally selling your videos out of the UK and second hand ones for full price then it's probably a good idea to speak to track them down and have a word.

domain: thepornoexchange.com
status: lock
organization: The Porno Exchange
owner: Philip Astall
email: pastall@hotmail.com
address: 3 Swallowfield Gardens
address: Appleton
city: Warrington
state: Cheshire
postal-code: WA4 5QY
country: GB

Like all scams, they never do last long

I don't think the UK industry deserves any support, because there are too many in it who would happily curtail the customers freedom of choice for their own greed.

You sound a bit off colour, not like you to grumble.

The other posts are correct, swaps and second-hand sales happen all the time on the forums so this is just a little more formalised. I may give it a try with a couple of titles I can afford to lose, to see if it's a scam (seems a lot of work to go to though). And remember if you go to Soho you'll get half back on watched dvds in the shops.

As to your second point, yes we'll all be breaking the law when we send them in. I'm afraid I'm guilty already.

Dusi, one of the things that irritate me about people who have a right to have an opinion here is when they say things they know nothing about.

Why should we producers embrace this like Block Busters and mainstream video outlets when we are don't have the freedom to trade in as many outlets as our mainstream counterparts. I found your post infuriating because it is frustrating that we work hard and some fucker comes in to piggy back on that hard work like it was nothing and probably make more money out of it too.

The lending libraries pay huge fees to be allowed to rent out titles, they can't just go to HMV, buy the latest films ans stick them on the shelves.

You need a licencing deal with every producer to do what your doing. Theres a reason why the small print on a DVD says "personal use only......not for hire or lend........not for broadcast....." etc.
We have need of you again, great king.
