Buying content for DVD

I am looking at starting a distribution company for R18 DVDs and am looking for producers who are either interested in selling the rights to content outright (scene by scene) or producers who have content / full movies but who are looking for someone to fund the editing, certification, printing & distribution etc.

Only really interested in B/G and beyond (poss G/G if REALLY good) and the material must be as close "R18 ready" as possible (i.e. not something which will need to be so heavily cut to get certified that it ends up lasting all of 3 minutes). Finally you MUST have all the necessary paperwork for ALL the performers including model releases and proofs of ID.

OK honest question - what does the board believe is a fair price to pay for lets say 4 x 30 minute scenes of HC BG for R18 DVD distribution? Am only asking as I have been contacted by quite a few people and some of them really have their heads in the clouds (not got back to everyone yet though so MAYBE there in some hope still!)

Being optimistic and considering that a VERY good title *might* sell 2000 units over its life at an average trade price of ?6 per unit, thats ?12k maximum revenue out of which has to be taken the cost of buying the material in the first place and then paying for all the certification, replication, printing, distribution, marketing costs etc not to mention somewhere along the line we gotta make a profit yet some people honestly think they will get 10k for a movie..........
