I understand the reasoning behind IPTV etc. but it is just another means of selling content and will not even slow down piracy because I know for certain that any material withing mins of it's first broadcast will be ripped and on a bit torrent site hours at the most. The biggest porn Bit torrent sites have whole DVD's and websites being pirated even streamed material that was captured using the easily available software out there. Obviously I have not put links to these sites here, if any producers here want the addresses to see if their material is there pls contact me; both sites in question will block material if the producer puts enough pressure on them Anjeli's content is is blocked so it is possible.

jim@urs3x.com send me the links Dave.....we have a watermarking system in place which helps and DRM but truth is the key to IPTV combating piracy is its cheap. You can charge ?3.50 per night to watch 4 hours of hard-core porn and make a living. At better than dvd quality. Pirates wont stream hi-quality coz it costs to much and they need to lay out to much money to complete.....

I have seen file sizes of 10gb or more being torrented bit torrenting is not like Kazaa the more people there are after the file the faster it goes each block of a file downloaded is available for sharing which means that each person only has to download 1 block before adding to the share speed. I have seen download speads exceeding 500kb per sec whole DVD's can be downloaded in hrs or overnight at most. So you can see why I believe torrenting will defeat IPTV.

Bit Torrenting makes it easier to prosecute people for piracy as there's no way to prevent "sharing" while you have an active torrent.
But as a replacement to P2P it is the way forward. The watermarking will be picked up by software and in the USA 2 procecutions have already been succesful. I think the point is most people only pirate because of 2 things price of movie and getting it before it is readily available to buy or rent legal. The cinema is on the increase not decline becuse of this. Its the DVD market that is getting fucked.

Porn is pirated because it's too much bother to get it in a legitimate way. I've seen lists passed around in pubs with hundreds of porn titles to order at ?3 each ... if people could go to their local video store and rent them the piracy would not be so attractive. I don't but DVD's as I watch porn on Euro satellite, but I sure wouldn't travel 15 miles to the only shop in the area and pay ?25 or ?30 for one DVD ... plus I'm not much interested in mail order as I don't want to be on anyone's list or even risk being ripped off. So in my books the only ways to watch porn in this country are to subscribe to Euro channels (my choice), d/l it from Bit Torrents or find local access to pirated material, which is the preferred choice of most people I know. Nobody can be bothered with the red tape that surrounds the legal purchase of porn in the UK, apart from those selling it ... and I'm personally not interested in any porn that's been through an R18 censorship, on principal - so even if it became available tomorrow in Woolworths, I'd still pass on it, although others may not.

looked like a question to me as well Mark but try to be kind to him he's a fucking idiot struggling with this forum.
Nach you are spot on, porn will be easy to get and cheap how it is delivered does not matter to you, 24x7 on demand or looking just like you like it channels full so you can flick through them.....why does it need to be on a satelite the odd dish is a bit of a give away to the neigbours...ome of the guys we are talking to are prepared to do free porn channels based on advertising.....Streaming is better than downloading no one wants to wait...and what about Hi-Def IPTV is ready. Our box even has Digi-freeview on it.
