O/T......dialers

my missus nephew uses my comp when i'm not around. as soon as i turn it on , it has ADULT CHAT on it which is a dialer. before i connect to the internet i go to the settings and connection and instead of seeing freeserve i see WAZZUP or something like that.obviously i delete it and put freeserve back in and when i connect i check to make sure it is dialing the freeserve number.
now the main point is, while i've been away has it been costing me(him)?1.50 a minute? he said as soon as it said it was downloading he stopped it , but surely if it knocked freeserve off it downloaded.

Take the phone lead out of the socket, or unplug the keyboard & mouse. that should stop the bugger till he figures out what you've done. No doubt somebody more PC minded can tell you how to block access to the outside world when your not around.

From your computer desktop click on 'Start' then 'Settings' then 'Control panel' and then 'Add/Remove Programs'you will see a list of all the programs on your computer. Highlight the dialler program that is the service your nephew has downloaded and then click 'remove program', this will remove the dialler program from your computer permanantly.

It won't stop him downloading it again though you might be able to block access to the site in question in the security tab of internet properties.

You just need to go Internet Properties content advisor
and set up a password

You can also change the settings to allow or not allow certain viewing...no nudity would be a good one

Be warned these passwords can be a pain in the ass
Small price to pay especially when you see the next bill

Word to the wise...if you bar the computer do the same through your phone if you haven't already

Personally I'd make him pay for what he used

If all that fails...a nice sharp pair of shears should do the job

the dialers are a pain(they hide behind various websites, not only porn but some crack sites too), remove programs as jp advised and check on your network connections.
or get broadband because the programs can't dial out with them(only though a dial up modem)...yet

I wish a great deal of pain and misey to every bastard that creates dialers that end up on my system. Yes I am bitter (and drunk with a big bastard headache). Half of them you can stop by closing the page before they download, but then you get the fuckers that you can't close and take over shit and you have to dig through your directory to remove them. Did I say I was bitter?....

H.N.Y to all, London, you should delete the dial up connection as suggested by going into start/control panel/network connections, and deleting any connections not wanted.
Now the Nephew! bury him up to his neck in concrete,I know it sounds a bit draconian, but it,s the only way with Nephews, mine did exactly the same trick, we made him drink his own urine for a month with his hands tied behind his back, whilst repeating the words, "I am nothing" he,s now a well adjusted thoughtful young man who opens doors for old ladies and bakes scones on a friday night instead of clubbing, ok there was the massacre thing,but generally he,s doing well.
