Hello there,

I'm taking part in the BUPA GREAT MANCHESTER RUN on Sunday 20th May 2007, raising money on behalf of THE STROKE ASSOCIATION.

A stroke is the third most common cause of death in the UK, and the single most common cause of severe disability.

Every year, over 130,000 people in the UK have a stroke; that's a shocking one person every four minutes. And whilst most people affected are over 65, anyone can have a stroke at any time, including children and even babies.

So in between producing recent paintings for the lovely Crystel-Lei, Loz and KazB amongst others, I've been pounding the treadmill for a few weeks now. OK, it's only a 10k run, but support in raising funds for this very good cause would be gratefully appreciated.

Does this sound OK? We have done this with other people before and helped to raise quite a bit of money. We aren't in the position where we can just make a straight donation but if people order and quote you then we are more than happy to help contribute.

Girls if you need business cards, posters, zed cards or flyers then get in contact. We also print a lot of promotional materials for website owners to distribute at exhibitions and via direct mail etc etc.

We can either print your files (to our spec) or we offer a design service if required. We have already worked with loads of people from this forum and we have feedback from them all. Our most recent client from here was Miss Lolly Badcock (my designer liked that job!) and we have lots of other adult customers, so there is nothing to worry about.

I would join you in doing the run but due to an operation I had several years ago I am not meant to do impact exercise. I will however do something myself and help to contribute towards your cause, besides the donation/profit share from MK Printing.

If Al or anyone has any fundraising ideas then please post them, I am open to everything.

Perhaps some of us could get together and raise some money for Cancer charities in the future - I'm sure a lot of us have been touched by it in some way. I'm not great at running but maybe an all girl sexathon?!

I am doing a marketing talk in Manchester (see other post). I am going to make it a free event but I could produce a CD with marketing materials, interviews and Excel software and sell it for a few quid will all the profits going to your cause.

Would this be something you would be interested in? As it is in Manchester you could come down and collect the cash on the night and even make a short speech to try and get more donations.
